Statement Shoes for warmer weather will have you inspired to add a POP of COLOR into your wardrobe with a classic statement open-toe shoe!
Hi everyone! Although I am no longer enjoying that South Florida sunshine, I wanted to put together a post featuring my favorite statement shoes for warm weather. Even if you aren’t lucky enough to live in Florida…warm weather will be quickly approaching us all!
Spending 16 days visiting my family in Florida was much needed. I don’t get to see my family often & after spending three months freezing in Sweden, I desperately needed the sun, so that little vacation was MUCH needed.
While in Florida, I really was excited to play around with some color & prints, especially after being bundled up all winter. I broke out some fun white heels, ruffled shirts, pastel wrap dresses, & added some color with these adorable mustard yellow satin slides.
Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t necessarily love wearing bold colors or prints…I look into my closet & see a lot of the same stuff regarding color palette, which is 100% okay with me. Muted tones & neutrals are my go-tos. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve moved away from bold prints & color, except for a few pieces here & there. For me, it’s more convenient because it all can be styled together which ultimately makes it a double win because that saves $$$!!!
Over the past few months when gathering inspiration for Spring & Summer outfit ideas, I noticed a lot of color happening. Not necessarily on a blouse or skirt…but on the shoes!
I have always loved a bold shoe & I think that it can instantly elevate any simple outfit or dress. Whether it’s pairing something red with an all black outfit or a clear heel with a fun print…it can result in a really great look when you mix in an unique shoe. Public Desire is also a great place to shop if you want a shoe that really pops. They have such unique styles & colors at an affordable price. If you read my Ruffled Sweaters & Mom Jeans post, you know they are my absolute favorite place to shop for shoes.
So as we approach warmer weather (or if you are lucky enough to experience it already!) I love the idea of adding color through a statement shoe! Currently, I am loving bold colors such as mustard yellow, blues & teals, & neon pink shades to really amp up your looks for the next few months.
Personally, I love the look of a mule, slide on, or a loafer, which is what I included below. I think they are easy to wear, comfortable, & go with so many things. The popular Gucci Loafer has been a hit in the past year on social media, especially their classic black. I obviously wanted to show some more reasonable options, because I don’t know about you, but that $730 price tag just doesn’t fit in my budget LOL! AND these will also help if you are like me & would prefer seeing color on an accessory rather than your actual outfit!
Mustard Yellow Statement Shoes
I talked about this bold mustard yellow color in my post, 6 Spring Trends for 2018 when I featured the belt bag. This color can quickly become overwhelming because it’s so different. When paired with the right things, mustard yellow can really pop. Now I get that this color is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it. If you aren’t 100% sure about mustard yellow, it’s easier to incorporate it into your wardrobe in small doses. Like a bag or shoe.
Teal/Blue Statement Shoes
Other than jeans & a jean jacket, I really can’t think of too many other things that I wear that are blue or this amazing teal, shown on the second shoe (btw, how amazing are those satin mules?!). Matching two piece sets are really in this year for Spring & Summer. Adding a blue or teal mule or slide is a perfect way to break up all of the matching & really can add a level of freshness to any look.
Pink Statement Shoes
Although I rarely wear pink…it is my ultimate favorite color. I own red shoes & pink tennis shoes but nothing like these adorable options I chose below! I love how girly a pink shoe can make an outfit with literally no effort! A denim on denim outfit paired with a pink shoe, is a fabulous idea for the remaining Spring months. By the way, I live for denim on denim, I think it’s the coolest!
Statement Shoes with a print
Okay so I think I’ve established that I’m not the biggest fan when it comes to prints or patterns. BUT I actually love these printed options if you are looking for a versatile shoe! The first three are from ASOS & I think they are just adorable & can be paired SO many ways throughout the upcoming months, even into the fall due to the variety of colors included!
