Are you into the Midi Skirt trend this Spring? I’m sharing my favorite ways to style a long midi skirt, as well as, midi skirts for any budget!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! Aside from some rain showers here & there, nice weather is definitely right around the corner, which I’m excited about! With that said, it’s time to break out the Spring & soon to be Summer attire! If you missed my Spring Trends for 2019 post, be sure to check that out, but today I wanted to share a trend that I’m loving which happens to be midi skirts!
A midi skirt is not often my go-to look, I actually don’t wear skirts that often at all. Usually I just go for a simple look with denim or a dress. But lately, I’ve seen so many adorable outfits put together with longer midi skirts while scrolling through Instagram & I’ve been such a fan! So when I received this adorable ivory patterned skirt from Chicwish, I couldn’t wait to style it!
The fit of a midi skirt is so flattering on many different body types because it doesn’t sit right on your waistline, but rather the smallest part of your waist which gives the illusion of a smaller waistline. I love anything high waisted so I really enjoyed the cut of the skirt I’m wearing in the photos. The length of the skirt is perfect too. Having the extra length, as well as, the really flowy & unrestrictive material really gives a level of comfort & can definitely be worn all day.
When it comes to styling midi skirts, the options are endless.
I styled it with a really cool off-white tee from the men’s section at Marshalls. Also side note, definitely check out the men’s section for oversized tees! I usually find the cut of a women’s tee to be too short length-wise & too tight for my liking! I also love being able to tie the shirt into a little knot like I did here in the photos.
The skirt is ivory & the tee is more of a beige-off-white, but I loved the two together. Sometimes the best outfits happen when everything isn’t too matchy-matchy. Another way to style a midi skirt is to wear an over-sized sweater with the skirt. I think this is my favorite way that I’ve seen these type of skirts styled. It’s such an effortless outfit that is SO comfortable & really cute.
And for shoes, really any midi skirt can easily be dressed up or down. I could have paired this Chicwish skirt with a pair of black strappy heels & a really pretty black top or I can dress it down like I did in the photos & pair it with my favorite pair of white Superga sneakers!
So with the midi skirt trend on the rise, I wanted to share some amazing options at all price points to suffice all of your midi skirt dreams! I’ve included options from American Eagle, H&M, Free People, Urban Oufitters & more!

SO GLAD skirts are making a comeback! Dresses have been my go-to summer and travel outfit staples forever, so I’m super excited to incorporate more skirts into the mix this season. I’ve always struggled to style midi skirts since they’re usually something I wear to the office, but I love how you effortlessly paired it with a tee for a more casual look. ♥️♥️♥️
