10 Things That Brought Me Joy This Week: 3

I’m sharing 10 things that brought me joy this past week & weekend, in the hope of inspiring you to find joy & happiness in all of life’s small things!

I'm sharing 10 things that brought me joy this past week & weekend, in the hope of inspiring you to find joy & happiness in all of life's small things!

Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me for another 10 things post – November edition! I hope everyone’s November has gotten off to a great start – I know mine has! I’ve been spending a lot of time in coffee shops & the local bookstore, doing work, writing, doing reach out, & ALL the fun things that having a business online involves. But I absolutely LOVE it – which is the exact feeling I want to be feeling every time I sit down to get some things accomplished! So along with my productive week, I wanted to reflect on some things that brought me joy! Taking notice to the small stuff can REALLY make a big difference!

My 10 Things

1. A new cut & color

I only get my hair colored once a year & cut twice, so it’s definitely a treat. Yesterday I went to a new hair stylist, who actually reached out to me initially on IG, & I left feeling on top of the world with my new hair! I haven’t been this happy with my hair in a long time!!

2. Dinner out

I usually work Friday nights, but last night I didn’t have to, so I was able to go out to eat with Devin’s parents & sister, & we all had such an enjoyable time catching up!

3. Beautycounter

In my Beautycounter blog post, I shared that I’ve become a Beautycounter consultant & I’m still SO happy with my decision to do so. I had a great call with my sweet mentor & a woman who is wildly successful with Beautycounter this past Monday. I left the call feeling SO inspired & confident in this new business venture.

4. A good cup of soup

I LOVE soup in the winter. Yesterday after my hair appointment, I stopped by my local health food market to grab a few things & their soup of the day was an amazing green lentil coconut dahl. I ended up taking a cup of it home & it was SO warming & delicious! On another note, have you made my butternut squash soup recipe yet??

5. The first snow flurry

Okay, mixed feelings about this one, but there’s just something about the first snow flurry of the year that just brings a smile to my face. The ice on my car this morning – not so much LOL!

6. Christmas Jazz

I might be rushing, but I LOVE Christmas music & can only enjoy it for a small period of time, so why not get as much as you can out of it!!? I’ve been listening to a “Christmas Jazz at the Coffee Shop” playlist on Spotify & it’s SO good. Gives you all the holiday feels! AH!

7. Unexpected surprises

I woke up Wednesday morning to a VERY unexpected surprise involving quite a bit of money, enough to keep me smiling for months haha! This universe works in crazy ways & I’m so grateful. I spent an entire month reading & practicing gratitude practices earlier this year, guided by a book called the Magic. It was an incredible read. Definitely would be a good read for this time of year too, since we are in the “season” of Thanksgiving! They have a great chapter on manifesting money as well!

8. Comments left on my blog

Every time someone comments on my blog, or gives me a compliment about my blog or the content I’m sharing, it makes me SO happy. My goal is to help you in ANY way I can & I SO appreciate your feedback in all forms! If you ever feel informed, motivated, inspired, or just like what I’m sharing, please don’t hesitate to tell me…I LOVE it!

9. Why I went plant based

I wrote a post about why I went plant based earlier this year & I had a chance to reflect back on it & why I did so this past week, when someone reached out to me about them potentially going plant based. I shared my vegan recipe info, some great resources for people who are new to the idea of cooking with just plants, some of my favorite vegan YouTube channels, & some other informative stuff about going plant based. The idea of potentially helping someone achieve or even think about bettering their health in that way, makes me so happy!

10. Seasonal Lattes

I had an oat-milk gingerbread latte at one of my favorite coffee shops this past week & it was SO tasty. I mean is there anything better than seasonal hot beverages – probably not, at least in my opinion! 🙂
